Students from the Polytechnic University of Turin (Group 1 – Digital Photography and Cinema Course) are holding a casting call for their short film, ‘Atto Zero.’ They are seeking male and female actors aged 23-30 for principal roles. Filming will take place in Turin from May 30th to June 2nd, 2025. Interested individuals should submit their application via email to [email protected], including two color photos against a neutral background (close-up and full-body), age, clothing size, height, residence or domicile, phone number, and a brief introduction. Preference will be given to residents of Piedmont. It is important to note that, due to the academic nature of the project, this is an unpaid opportunity. The casting is being managed by Roberto Razzano and Jacopo Lucci. While unpaid opportunities can be a great way for aspiring actors to gain experience and build their portfolios, the lack of compensation raises questions about accessibility and inclusivity within the industry. Aspiring actors should carefully consider whether the potential benefits outweigh the lack of payment. The increasing costs of living can discourage talent and force people to refuse even short-term unpaid opportunities.
